What LetterCam collects
Nothing. LetterCam has no user accounts, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no server component. The app makes no network requests. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information — from anyone, including children.
Camera
LetterCam asks for camera access so it can render your live camera feed as a letter mosaic. Frames are processed in real time on your device's GPU and are shown only on your screen. They are not recorded or transmitted anywhere. If you decline camera access, you can still letterize photos you import.
Photo library
LetterCam touches your photo library in exactly two ways, both at your explicit request:
- Importing — when you choose a photo to letterize, iOS shows its own picker and hands LetterCam only the photo you selected.
- Saving — when you export an image, LetterCam asks for add-only permission and saves the finished artwork to your library. It cannot read the rest of your photos.
What stays on your device
Your render settings and saved presets are stored locally on your iPhone and sync nowhere. Deleting the app deletes them.
Third parties
There are none. LetterCam embeds no third-party code that receives data. If you choose to share an exported image through the iOS share sheet, the app or service you share it to handles that image under its own privacy policy.
Apple
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with Apple, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymized statistics (such as crash reports and install counts) through App Store Connect. That data is controlled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; it contains nothing that identifies you to us.
Changes to this policy
If LetterCam ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and note the change in the App Store release notes before the change ships.
